Imprimerie Paris Welye offers laminating, which consists of adding a plastic film to the entire surface of your media (leaflets, brochures, business cards, etc.).
Laminating, often referred to as lamination, is added using a laminating machine to extend the life of your media, make it waterproof or simply give it a more luxurious, high-quality appearance.
Types of lamination :
Laminating is a finish that Paris Welye uses most often for business cards and brochure covers.
There are several types of lamination, which give a different look and feel:
– Gloss lamination : this enhances the colors of your visual and gives it a glossy, light-reflecting appearance.
It’s important to know that after gloss lamination, it’s virtually impossible to write with a conventional pen.
– Matte lamination: gives your documents a more luxurious look, and is used as a base for adding a selective varnish.
The principle is simple: monitor parts on a totally matte background.
To the touch, the laminating film gives the sensation of softness.
– Soft Touch lamination: this is one of the “top-of-the-range” laminations, giving your documents a peach-skin look and feel!
Ideal as a base for classic selective varnish or relief selective varnish, it gives your documents a luxurious, refined finish.
– Canvas lamination: this type of lamination comes in a variety of patterns.
The result is a glossy finish with reliefs equivalent to those found on canvas.
Advantages of laminating :
The laminations offered by Paris Welye have several advantages.
They increase the lifespan of substrates by making them resistant to moisture and stains, and consolidate the paper (it becomes very difficult to tear a substrate with a laminate on both sides).
In addition to making your media more attractive and qualitative, laminating allows Paris Welye to add other finishes such as selective varnish, hot foil stamping, embossing, etc…

Encapsulation
Paris Welye also offersencapsulation of your media, not to be confused with laminating, which consists of wrapping the front and back of your printed matter in plastic film, leaving an overhang of around 5 mm (with plastic only).
This process seals and extends the life of your media.
Paris Welye’sencapsulation process is ideal for large posters, restaurant menus, etc.
