Preparing a perfect print file, explained simply.
Bleed, margins, resolution, colours: everything you need so your file prints exactly as you imagine. In doubt? Send it over — we check it for free.
Bleed
At production, your document is guillotine-cut in a paper stack. The blade can drift by a millimetre: if your artwork stops exactly at the edge, a white sliver can appear.
For large format seen from a distance (banners, panels), 100–150 dpi is enough — we guide you per material.
CMYK, not RGB
Your screen builds colours with light (RGB); our presses with ink (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black). Some very bright screen colours simply don't exist in ink.
Fonts: outlined or embedded
If we don't have your font, it gets substituted automatically — and your layout can break without anyone noticing before print.
The right file: a high-quality PDF
The king of print formats is PDF (ideally PDF/X). It locks your layout, fonts and colours — what you see is what we print.
Word, PowerPoint or Canva? No stress: export to PDF, or send us the file and our studio adapts it.
Before sending your file
3 mm bleed
And text 5 mm from the edge.
300 dpi
At final print size.
CMYK
No RGB or neon colours.
High-quality PDF
Fonts embedded or outlined.
Overprint, blacks and ink coverage, foiling and spot UV, brochures, labels, large format — plus manufacturing tolerances and the role of the proof.

Send us your file: we check bleed, resolution and fonts before printing. If something's off, we help you fix it.
