The Wire-O spiral-bound brochure is the go-to solution for any document you read, annotate and handle every day. Printed in Paris in our workshop, it lies completely flat, turns a full 360° and stays stable on a desk or stand. Technical manuals, recipe books, training materials, planners, presentation portfolios or workshop catalogues: Wire-O binding combines sturdiness, elegance and reading comfort. Here is everything you need to know to get your project right.

Sizes & page count

The most requested sizes are A4 portrait (210 × 297 mm) for manuals and training material, A5 (148 × 210 mm) for notebooks and guides, and square formats (for example 210 × 210 mm) for creative portfolios. Landscape orientation is very popular for presentations and planners. In terms of page count, Wire-O binding handles roughly 12 to 300 pages, the spine thickness simply being set by the ring diameter. An off-standard size, a large lay-flat format or a special cut? Metal Wire-O or plastic coil

Two binding families are available. Wire-O, made of double-loop metal rings, gives a professional, rigid finish; it comes in several colours (black, white, silver, gold) to match your brand. Plastic coil, more economical, exists in a wide colour range and is ideal for colourful or friendly print runs. In both cases, careful punching ensures smooth rotation and durable page retention, even after hundreds of openings.

Papers & covers

• ✓Inside pages on gloss or matt coated stock from 90 to 170 gsm, or design paper for a premium feel
• ✓Card covers from 250 to 350 gsm, gloss, matt or soft-touch laminated to withstand handling
• ✓Transparent polypropylene front cover and rigid opaque back, very handy for working documents
• ✓Laminated dividers and repositionable tabs to structure chapters and sections

Finishes & options

To refine the finished object, add spot varnish, hot-foil stamping or embossing on the cover, rounded corners or a die-cut shape. A hanger built into the spiral turns the brochure into a wall calendar; a pen holder or inner pocket makes it even more practical. A specific finish you don't see listed here? Preparing your file

Send a PDF as single pages (not spreads), in CMYK, at 300 dpi with 3 mm bleed on every edge. Remember to leave a sufficient inner margin on the binding side so the Wire-O punching does not bite into text or images.
