What makes the difference in hand

  • Weight — a business card lives between 350 and 600 g: below, it bends; above, it impresses
  • Touch — soft-touch “peach skin” lamination is the most memorable finish, see our finishing options
  • Light — hot foil or 3D spot varnish to make a logo or a name stand out
  • Consistency — card, letterhead and envelope on the same paper range: that is what identity feels like

Everything about cards & stationery in Paris

Cards & stationery cover everything that carries your name day to day: business cards, correspondence cards and corporate stationery. Printed in Paris by Welye, each piece is treated like an object — paper, weight, finishes — so that a simple card tells your story before the first word. Here are the useful benchmarks to prepare your project, knowing everything stays adjustable to your wishes.

Sizes

The classic business card measures 85 × 54 mm, but the 55 × 55 mm square, the mini format or the US size open other paths. For correspondence cards, we usually work in A6, square or DL, flat or folded. Stationery follows A4 and A5 standards for letterheads, DL and C5 for envelopes. An off-standard size, an unusual fold, an oversized card? We make it: describe the object you have in mind.

Papers & weights

  • Business cards from 350 to 600 gsm: 350 gsm for a supple professional standard, 450 to 600 gsm for the thick card that makes an impression.
  • Creative papers — natural, textured, dyed in the mass, pearlescent — that change the feel as much as the look.
  • Stationery in 90 to 120 gsm for letterheads and 250 to 350 gsm for folders and cards, with recycled and FSC options.
  • A specific paper in mind, a reference seen elsewhere, a 100% cotton stock? We source it for you.

Finishes

This is where stationery becomes memorable. Soft-touch lamination, gold, silver or copper hot foiling, 3D spot varnish, embossing and blind debossing, rounded corners, die-cutting, coloured edges: each finish adds a layer of texture and memory. We combine them without overloading, to serve the message rather than hide it. A special finish you saw somewhere? Tell us about it, we'll find a way to make it.

Offset or digital

For a business card or a short run of correspondence, digital prints fast and at the right price, ideal for testing several papers or equipping a new hire. As soon as volumes rise or a precise Pantone is involved — corporate stationery, large card runs — offset takes over for perfect colour consistency. We choose the right technique for your quantity, colours and deadlines, and explain it in the quote.

Preparing your file

A clean file means clean stationery. Allow 3 mm bleed all around, keep texts and logos at least 4 mm from the edges, work in CMYK at 300 dpi and outline your fonts. For foiling, 3D varnish or embossing, isolate those areas on a dedicated solid layer. If unsure, send us your artwork: our prepress studio in Paris checks everything free before the proof. A custom size, a specific paper, an extra finish: we do it, tell us about your project.
