Christmas shop windows 2026: printing and installation in Paris, ready on time

From mid-November to late December, the shop window is a store's best salesperson: it is what brings in the passer-by looking for a gift. A Christmas window printed and installed by a professional still has to be planned early, because November installation slots go fast. Here are the 2026 dates, the right materials, budgets and the method to be ready before Black Friday.

Your Christmas window back-planning for 2026
The year-end retail calendar is tight: Black Friday falls on Friday 27 November 2026 and the first Sunday of Advent on 29 November. A window installed after 1 December has already lost a third of the season. Here are the milestones.

A successful Christmas window usually combines two materials: a large visual that catches the eye from a distance and a lighter decoration (snowflakes, border, lettering) that keeps the products visible. Prices below are our indicative 2026 rates in Paris.

Christmas window ideas that sell
Fashion, gift shops and concept stores
A large printed visual on part of the glass (a scene, your hero product in context) and clear vinyl snowflakes on the rest: passers-by see both the atmosphere and the products. Add your December Sunday opening hours in cut lettering.
Restaurants, cafés, bakeries and patisseries
Frosted film on the lower part protects diners' privacy, and white lettering announces the festive menu, Yule logs or platter orders. Outside, a poster or a roll-up banner by the door completes the set-up.
Pharmacies, opticians, agencies and banks
One-way vision lets you display a year-end campaign across the whole glazed surface without depriving staff of daylight. A frosted border with the brand logo keeps a sober, premium look.
Pop-up stores and Christmas markets
For a temporary shop, everything happens within hours: window graphics, stickers, panels, flyers and gift cards are produced together, installed in one visit and removed at closing.
How installation and removal work
- ✓Measuring and quote: you send photos and dimensions; if needed, we measure on site.
- ✓Production: printing, lamination if the window faces south, contour cutting.
- ✓Installation: cleaning and degreasing the glass, dry or wet application depending on the material, bubble-free finish, early morning or evening.
- ✓Removal: in January, heat removal with no glue residue, glass left clean for the next visual.

Preparing your window artwork
- ✓Full scale (or 1/10 with ten times the resolution): 100 to 150 dpi at actual size is enough for a window seen from a few metres.
- ✓Measure each pane: width × height of the visible glass, without the frames; allow a 2 to 3 cm margin for installation.
- ✓On clear vinyl, add a white underlay beneath the colours so they stay vivid against the light.
- ✓Night-time legibility: with one-way vision, the visual fades when the shop is lit; keep key messages large and high-contrast.

4 mistakes that cost a Christmas window
- ✓Ordering after 20 November: late-November installation slots are the most requested of the year.
- ✓Covering the whole glass with an opaque visual: the shop gets dark and the products disappear; choose one-way vision or clear vinyl.
- ✓Installing a large film yourself: beyond 1 m², bubbles and creases almost always win.
- ✓Forgetting removal: a Christmas decoration still up on 6 January blurs your sales message.
